I find this brief news about the new James Bond film interesting as it begins to give us the audience a taste of what is to come when it is released on to the big screen (October 2012). The new actor to play Q is very young compared to the previous actors playing this character, this could suggest a revolution to the new James Bond films with Daniel Craig as the main character.
In the 2 Bond films which Daniel Craig stars in we see a new Bond, a more rouge character as he makes little puns but more killings this is a new James Bond compared to the origional idea. This is the same for Ben Whishaw he is changing the origional idea of Q making the recent James Bond films new and away from the repetative storyline in the previous films.
A younger Q could represent how the younger genneration is exposed to new technolgy.

The number of films being watched has fallen aswell and the idea of gender also reflects on the audience watching that film for example the film Sex in the City 2 was released during the world cup and 73% of the audience were female, this shows how gender is involved in the film industry.
